Part of the Alanna line. Inspired by the strength we gain from heroes and all of our quests for love. This is the first one-of-a-kind fine art piece I've offered. The shape is created by hammering metal into a bowl of hot pitch, and then heating, reheating, and turning the piece over long periods. The metal bends gradually and is slowly worked to fit exactly around the shell. There's no shortcut to this technique. In the final step the shell is held in place with a single hammered prong. It comes up through the middle of the shell and then folds down and is carefully bent to fit exactly under the shell lip.

Note: This piece is fragile. Shell is not as strong as gemstones and can crack if dropped. The nature of a single prong means that it also is delicate. But love your piece gently and it will love you back.
